Playing Storyline blocks inline in Rise on mobile devices
Hi UCP Connect
Could you explain in detail step by step how you embed the storyline via Rise's Embed Multimedia block? It is a solution that could help us a lot. Thanks.
Hello Heloisa,
Happy to help!
You can embed Storyline 360 blocks directly in a Rise 360 course by following the steps here:
You can also upload your Rise 360 courses to a web server and then embed them using the "Multimedia -> Embed" block. The procedure would be:
- Upload Rise 360 course to a web server
- Copy the URL/link to the index.html file of the published output
- Add this link to the embed block in Rise 360
Hope this helps!

Hi Jose
I just came across your post and recommendation around embeding Storyline blocks in Rise using the Multimedia / Embed block.
I've gone through those steps but the content is displaying like this (see image attached) - which is just the title of the file as it appears on my server and the user needs to click on that, which opens another window with the Storyline interaction (it's meant to display a labeled graphic).
We want the Storyline interaction to appear in line (ie. no need to click on anything to 'open' the interaction) with the other content, and provide a seamless experience for the user.
Wondering if you know of any workarounds to do this?
Thanks so much for your help!- LucianaPiazza8 months agoStaff
Hello Thinkaway,
Thanks for reaching out! I understand that you've tried embedding your course with a Multimedia Block into your course. If so, I would like to confirm that you'll need to use the Storyline Block to display your Storyline course within Rise 360!
Here's what you'll need to do to accomplish this:
1. Publish Your Storyline Course to Review 360: First, make sure your Storyline course is published to Review 360. You can follow the guide here.
2. Edit or Create a Lesson in Rise 360: Open your Rise 360 course and either edit an existing lesson or create a new one.
3. Insert a Storyline Block: In the lesson, insert an interactive Storyline block.
4. Browse Review 360: Click the Browse Review 360 button in the Storyline block to view all your Storyline 360 items in your Review 360 personal directory and team folders you have access to.
5. Select Your Storyline Course: Choose the Storyline course you want to embed. As a reference, I'd like to share a quick Peek of these steps in action!
I hope this helps! Please let us know if this resolves your experience or if you have any further questions!

Thanks so much for your quick reply Luciana and the video - much appreciated!
I am aware of how to use the Storyline block to import an SL block into Rise and I have tried that before.
The issue is that when the user is viewing the course on a mobile device, any SL blocks in the Rise course display as a black box with a play button on them, instead of seamlessly displaying the content inline with the other Rise content.
That black box with the play button just creates a bad user experience (our course is for frequent business travellers who will likely be taking the course on mobile).
If you know of any workaround to this mobile display issue, I would love to know 🙂
Thanks again
