PowerPoint Import Crashing since installing StoryLine 360 June 2025 Update
Since installing the June 17 2025 Update to StoryLine 360, I'm getting crashes importing PowerPoint files, even ones that worked 2 weeks ago. I have confirmed with a colleague who has the same problem.
I have created a blank PowerPoint with just a few slides with images and it imports fine. But more complex PowerPoint files that imported fine a few weeks ago, show the slides to import, but then crash when performing the import; even if I select only a few slides.
Does anyone else have a problem with PowerPoint import?
Colin
Hi Everyone!
Sorry to hear you've encountered this issue when importing PowerPoint content to Storyline!
I see that you have all connected with our support engineers, who confirmed this behavior was related to a bug in Storyline version 3.101.34880.0. I'm happy to share we just released a new update for Storyline, which includes a fix for this bug.
Launch the Articulate 360 desktop app on your computer to take advantage of this update, and click the Update button next to Storyline 360. You'll find our step-by-step instructions, here.
Please let me know if you have any questions about this update, or the issue you reported!

I have the most recent update, September 23, 2025 (Build 3.104.35448.0). I have been importing a number of PPT files with no problem, but yesterday Storyline started freezing partway through the import. I have tried various files, and some will import, some will not. It seems to be random, for instance I imported 6 of seven sections of a module, then the 7th froze and wouldn't import. (I finally got it imported in small pieces). Now it is worse, it takes a very long time to proceed through part of an import (maybe 30 minutes), and THEN freezes without completing it, instead of doing it quickly like it did before.
Hi SigneDanler!
Sorry to hear you're having trouble importing PowerPoint content to Storyline!
Testing this on my end in version 3.104.35448.0, I was able to import a multi-slide PowerPoint file into Storyline without issues. First, please ensure both the PowerPoint, and .story file are stored on your local hard drive. Authoring directly off of a network or shared drive may introduce erratic behavior.
If you're already working locally, and the behavior is not specific to one file, please try repairing Microsoft Office and Storyline.
Let me know how it goes!
