Preview generation: how to speed this up?

Can anyone share ways to speed up preview generation, which takes awhile on a project I'm working on: upwards of a minute.

Can complex triggers cause long preview generation time, or too many triggers? Do we need to pre-scale images to their exact needed size before we place them?

Thank you for any tips on this!

I haven't measured this, but I have seen longer load times with increased logic (more triggers and more complex triggers). I think the only way around it is to move the trigger logic to JS, but that's not always desirable.

  • I've found that the first preview is always the slowest, and then it tends to speed up once I've previewed something once. Also depends on how much you're previewing (single slide vs. scene vs. entire course). While I am actively building something, I tend to use the Timeline preview (the little play button at the bottom left of the timeline) as opposed to the slide preview unless the slide has objects with motion paths.
