Process Block - Start card text alignment inconsistency when first inserted
Hi all,
With the process block in Rise 360, is anyone else experiencing the text alignment on the start card, whilst displayed as left aligned when editing, is then displayed as centre aligned when you leave the edit window for the block? The same thing happens with the end card.
Here's a breakdown of the steps where I see this happen:
- Insert the process block.
- Click the pencil to edit the content.
- On the start slide/card add some text (can change colour/type face/etc.). Text is currently displayed as left aligned when no alignment has been chosen, leading me to believe it is left aligned.
- Exit editing screen for the process block. Text is now displayed as centre aligned.
- Have to return to editing the content of the process block, highlight the text and select left align.
Is this a known problem?
Kind regards,
Sam
Hi SamBarnard-98a4,
Thanks for sharing these steps. They're super helpful when trying to replicate this behavior!
While testing this out, I selected the pencil icon to edit the content. The text appears left-aligned, but after selecting the drop-down arrow next to alignment, I see no alignment chosen. If I select left alignment, and close the editing window, the text appears correctly aligned. Here's a quick Peek to give you a visual of what I did.
Please let me know if you're seeing the same, or, if you're selecting the left-aligned option from the drop-down arrow, and the text isn't displaying as it should. I'll be happy to look into this further!

Hi Kelly,
Thanks for the reply. The caveat I should have been more explicit about is not selecting an alignment option.
Using the alignment function does work as it should.
My issue is that when creating hundreds of these process blocks and adding text to that first card, it appears left aligned so I end up assuming it is, when in fact, it's default is centre aligned. So I'm seeing a left aligned block of text, that underneath is centre aligned. The editing window of the process block can and does display the text as centre aligned if you choose it, but why does it not display it as centre aligned when it is first inserted and I'm editing the text?
Kind regards,
Sam
