Programatically adding and saving content in blocks?

Hello gurus and rise aficionados.

I've been experimenting with using Rise to create branching modules that allow for contextualised content by removing the native navigation, and instead using custom <a> tags that are hardcoded to point to certain pages.

I've had success at setting these up manually using browser dev tools (F12) to insert HTML. However, I then need to place my cursor in the block, make a change (such as add a space) and remove it again to have my new HTML get 'saved' to the Rise module. Otherwise when I navigate out of the screen and return, all I get is the standard 'When we show up to the present moment with all of our senses...' wording.

Just wondering if anyone's had any success in using JavaScript (or emulating keypresses) to achieve the same effect as manually forcing a save by editing.

Thanks in advance for your replies! :)

  • Even better would be the ability to just call something like forceSave(); and have all my blocks updated. Fingers crossed? :P
