Publish to Web with Rise
Hello,
Is there a way to publish to web with Rise? I only see LMS options.
Thanks

Hi April!
Do your Storyline blocks contain audio or video on the first slide? If so, then you'll see a gray or black cover with a play button appear before the first slide of the Storyline content. Clicking the play button should display the Storyline block.
You can prevent the play button by adding an introductory slide (with no audio or video) before the first slide in the Storyline Block.
Let me know if that helps you!

Hi Alyssa,
Nope. No audio or video in the content. The problem seems to be that when you combine a Rise File and Storyline file together as one output and upload to a website, the index file calls only the Rise HTML file, and does not call the story.html file. There must be a way so that both HTML files are called. Thoughts?
Hi April!
Tell me more about what you mean by "combine a Rise File and Storyline file together as one output." That doesn't sound like a Storyline block, so I'd love to get more details about what you're doing. If you can share a screenshot, that would be helpful too!

We host our courses in our LMS but if we wanted to bypass the LMS, it sounds as if we would just publish to web. Then, we could add the link to a web page, right? What is the difference between using the share link and using the index.html link?
Hello, Silvia!
The Share link is intended for light use, giving you the ability to get your awesome content in the hands of small audiences quickly and easily.
For permanent hosting, we recommend that you export your course for web so you have control over the hosting environment.

Hi Alyssa,
This works great for a pure RISE project. But, if you embed Storyline Blocks in your RISE project and then export course to web, the Storyline Block is a huge gray box (no content shows at all) - especially in SharePoint.
Hi April!
You'll see a play button on top of Storyline blocks in Chrome when the first slide contains audio or video. Does your Storyline block content have audio or video on the first slide?

Hi, is there someone who could give more specifications about the requirements for the server/website where Rise (published to web) content would be published?
Hi Agne! Are you looking for a web server where you can host your published Rise 360 content?
You can host your web output on any web server or space that allows you to upload a folder of HTML files to run the content.
We suggest Amazon S3 and Google Cloud as options for folks who may not have their own web server access.

Hi Alyssa, thanks for reply. A client is asking what are server requirements for the Rise360 or Storyline content to be published in his server. I would like to be sure that I respond correctly to him. As far as I understand your answer - no specific requirements for as long as HTML files can be uploaded and that's it, right?
