Publishing Articulate Rise to a Moodle LMS

Hi,

We've just created our first Rise course which looks great, but are having problems loading it to our Moodle LMS. The SCORM file loads but then I'm seeing an error messge.

An imsmanifest.xml file was found but it was not in the root of your zip file, please re-package your SCORM

Is Rise compatible with Moodle? Has anyone successfully loaded a Rise file?

Thanks

Sue

Rise exports a folder with the files in it. I had the same error because I was compressing the folder that rise created on the export.

Instead... open the folder Rise published and compress those contents into a zip file to upload into Moodle. this worked for me

I have the same issue - I'm publishing to LMS, Scorm 1.2 but has no imsmanifest.xml file.  I've tried to follow Joe's advise above, but when I look in the content folder there is no file of this type.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks

  • Hi Kirsten,

I tested with those same settings, and saw the file as shown here:

What browser are you using to export your Rise Courses? Can you share the file structure as you see it?

Hi Ashley, thanks for your response.

Yesterday I was using Microsoft Edge, so I tried again today with Chrome, but still getting the same content which is attached.   Which browser do you recommend?

    Thanks

Hi Ashley, Thanks even though I had Scorm 1.2 selected the other tracking options weren't pulling through, so I selected another type and it brought in the correct options, and when I returned to Scorm 1.2 they remained.  I have now been able to correctly publish my Rise file to my LMS.  Thanks for your help.

  • Oh, glad to hear that Kirsten. It's still definitely odd though - do you know what version/update of Chrome you were using?

I was using version 68. something, but as soon as I looked for the version, it updated to version 69 so maybe it was down to out of date version.  However, originally I was using Microsoft Edge which is version 42.17134.1.0.  It's working correctly in both browsers now.

  • Does anyone have an experiences with after you export it and get it into Moodle, having Moodle be able to mark it as graded automatically?
