I’m Eric, and I’ll be answering your questions about new content formats. I work on our Customer Happiness team supporting the E-Learning Heroes community, and I'm excited to see how you all put these new formats to use in your own courses and training.

Hi. I really love these new types to quickly create content but wish they offered more availability to utilize them in other ways. For example:
- Scenario: the visual appearance and AI ability to structure the content is fantastic, however it doesn't seem you can create it in the new feature and then insert it into a Rise course your working on (similar to how you can insert a SL block).
- Training Deck: what a tool that support quick design and great visuals, but no capability to download it as a PPT.
It would be great to hear that enhancements are headed our way that provide more flexibility on how we can repurpose these creations. Thanks!

It’s great to hear how quickly you’re creating with these new formats! I understand that you’d like to bring a scenario into a Rise course the way you can with a Storyline block. You’d also like to export a training deck as a PPT file so you can use it beyond where it was created.
A couple of things would round out the picture:
- What do you do today when a scenario or deck can’t go where you need it?
- What would being able to reuse them in other places help you accomplish?
I don’t have anything to share about what’s ahead right now, but your details give us a clearer view of what you’re looking for.

Thank you for the reply. To round out the picture further:
- If the scenario or deck can't go where I need it, I default to other tools that support the need. Microsoft PPT or Canva helps create the PPTs we use for the training currently. For scenarios, I've been checking out Cognito Blox (a tool shared by eLearning Heros community) or the Rise Scenario Block while developing a course (I find this block cumbersome and dated).
- Being able to reuse these formats in other places helps us collectively as a team when it comes to training decks. Our courses are facilitated via Teams and the assets (PPTs) are stored in an inclusive content library for the trainers to get what they need. It would be rare to create a scenario to publish on our LMS without context/content with it.
I've appreciated the time and effort that Articulate has spent this year on enhancements. Our courses have a refreshed look rather than the common block choices we've used in the past. Our learners take several digital courses over the year so having the ability to be creative and explore variations for presentation is important. Always looking for more as we continue to evolve how adult learners prefer to learn.

We're creating Interactive Videos for German-speaking learners. In Rise 360 courses, we can switch the text labels to German via Settings > Labels. In Interactive Video, however, labels like "Chapters" and the start button stay in English, and we couldn't find a way to change them.
Is there a way to set the label language (including screen reader labels) for Interactive Video, without using the paid translation feature? If not, is this on the roadmap?
Accessibility is a key requirement for us, so having the labels in the learners' language is especially important.

Thanks for explaining how you’re using Interactive Video with German-speaking learners, and for sharing why this matters for accessibility. It sounds like you’d like the player text, including the labels screen readers announce, to appear in German without using the paid translation feature.
At the moment, Interactive Video doesn’t have a setting to change the label language. The Labels settings you use in Rise courses, which also cover screen reader labels, aren’t available for this format, and I don’t have a timeline to share.
I’d love to understand your setup a bit more. Are your videos and checkpoint content already in German, so the labels like Chapters and the start button are the only things that need to change?

Yes, my video content is already in German, including the video itself and the content used in checkpoints.
The main issue is that I can't customize the default English labels in the Interactive Video player.
For example, I'd like to change:
- Chapters → Kapitel
- Start Video
- Resume Video
- Paused at
The same issue applies to checkpoints. When I add quiz questions, labels and messages such as:
- Submit
- Please answer the question to continue
- Take Again
are also displayed in English by default, with no option to edit them.
Since the entire learning experience is designed for German-speaking learners, having these interface elements in English creates an inconsistent experience and can also affect accessibility, particularly for learners using screen readers.
Ideally, I'd like to be able to customize these labels manually, as is already possible in Rise courses, without having to use the paid translation feature.

hi, im just wondering if theres anyway to amend the percentage of the scenario block results from 80% depending how many questions you have?

Are you referring to a Scenario Block inside a Rise lesson, or our new standalone Scenario format? Also, are you looking to change the percentage required to pass, or something else?
- Our classic Scenario Blocks use branching responses and feedback. However, they don't support built-in percentage scoring or passing scores that can be configured.
- The new Scenario content type automatically scores responses marked Correct, Neutral, or Incorrect. These answers are tied to an automated scoring system with a minimum passing score of 80%. Right now, this metric cannot be adjusted, but we are exploring ways to expand scoring flexibility.

Hi there, I am starting to use the new Interactive Video content type and was wondering if there was a way to create and "Exit Course" button or link? This is a requirements per our style guide but I don't see a way to make it work. It looks like you can add a button but it really doesn't "function" it's more for show, if it even shows at all. I also don't see much customization for labels either. The only way I have found to make a hyperlink work is through text, but an exit course link is more about how it talks to the LMS than opening a page or file.

Sorry to hear that you're having trouble configuring Exit Course links for Interactive Videos in Rise.
Are you referring to a Button Block that's been added as a final checkpoint to your Interactive Video? If so, you should be able to set that destination as an 'Exit the course (LMS only)' command.
I've included one in a sample Interactive Video, and it functioned as expected when testing in SCORM Cloud.
Alternatively, you can forgo the manual process of adding a Button Block. Rise provides a built-in option to toggle 'Exit interactive video link' on when publishing to LMS.
It should place an EXIT COURSE link in the upper corner of the browser window during LMS playback.
Also, can you clarify which labels specifically you're trying to customize? If you're referring to Settings > Labels, Custom Course Labels, those are only available within standard Rise courses. They are not yet supported by new content formats.

Thank you for the thorough response. After some additional testing I was able to finally get interactive button blocks to display (before they would just show as blank in the interactive video).
So few things:
1 - When I add the Button block and select to "exit course" it does "work" but it closes the course without actually marking it complete. It would appear that you have to click the final "done" button to trigger full completion, which is after the button block.
2 - Our internal style guide says not to use the Exit Course link, however, without it, the learner can get "lost" since when you click "done" nothing happens until you close the window (not intuitive for many learners). I will bring this limitation up internally.
3 - Bummer on the labels. Would definitely be nice to change the text on the interactive video "player" to suit the content / learner needs.
Some other findings:
4 - On the label note, if there was a way to set a forced navigation that would help too. If you sent the block to be required, it must have an interactive block to work, but that's not necessarily preventing anyone from skipping directly to the end of the video without watching or completing any checkpoints.
5 - Many of the block default ALL text to "heading" instead of "body" - this was a pain to update. And when you change on a flashcard, regardless of settings, the font gets SUPER small.
6 - For Knowledge Checks, there is no way to randomize the answers for multiple choice questions.
Anyway, we will have to make some internal decisions on if we'll be able to use this content type with the current limitations. Looking forward to future enhancements - like adding to Rise or Storyline!!
Looking for answers specific to the new Scenario branching feature, is there a way to capture to score of the scenario in an LMS? I cant find anything that lets me set a passing score to trigger capturing the score, and it doesn't seem to natively send a score to the LMS even though I can see a score once I finish the scenario as a learner. Appreciating any feedback!

Great question.
What you've described is currently the expected behavior for Scenarios in Rise. The score learners see at the end comes from the Scenario’s built-in scoring system, but there’s currently no setting to define a passing score or send that Scenario score to an LMS.
For supported success reporting, we suggest choosing Passed/Incomplete or Passed/Failed when publishing for LMS. However, those settings only report the course’s overall completion or success status. They can't specifically capture the Scenario branching score itself.
Hi, I've created a scenario using the AI option in Rise and I cant find where to edit the results and score/feedback page. On the 'Edit' screen there is only an End box branched to the last 3 cards created. I would like to change some of the feedback but also want to change some of the spelling especially on the score/feedback page to English. Prior to creating any resources am I able to change the language format to UK English. Thanks.

Great to hear that you've been exploring Scenarios in Rise.
Currently, the score and goals page is built into AI-generated Scenarios, and there isn’t an option to remove it or edit the text on that page directly. I understand how that limits the ability to present the Scenario as a discussion and adjust the feedback to use UK English.
I see that you've already submitted this feedback as a feature request for our team. We’ll be sure to notify you if we release a future enhancement that helps!
Guide: I really like the new Dashboard features, but I am a bit irritated that screen recording or existing video is the only option for creating a guide. We do have a lot of Word/PPT documents as instructions and it would be extremely helpful to upload them directly to create a guide out of it.
I second this!!! I had a project request come in that had a really fast turnaround. Being able to use a PPT or Word document that was provided by the SME would have been a huge timesaver.
From AI Scenario can you export the final scenario you build? I put a bunch of work into building one assuming it would just go into a Rise course i have. And for my source docs and stroyboard i want to have it all nice and tight.
Thanks for laying out what you were hoping for here, ZaraLynnOgden, and I'm sorry that assumption didn't pan out after you'd already put real work into building it.
There isn't a way to export the final Scenario today, no PDF, no downloadable file. It's a standalone, web-based experience right now, so anything involving your source docs and storyboard staying organized together outside of Rise would need to happen on your end, outside the tool.
On getting it into your existing Rise course, that's the same limitation Liam covered earlier in this thread, it's not available yet, but it's something the team is actively planning to bring to Scenario. Out of curiosity, if the Scenario could eventually live inside your Rise course, would that cover what you're after, or is having an exportable file of the finished build still something you'd want on its own?
Both options of embedding it into a Rise course and exporting it would be good. I'm surprised that this hasn't been taken into consideration when implementing 360 AI as the scenarios are sometimes inextricably linked to the Rise course that's being created.
I really think the training deck looks nice, like a microlearning on it's side. But will the AI functionality improve in the upcoming months? It's just not 'there' most of the time.. Too little of the information I provide is used in the deck.

On the AI functionality itself, I don't have a timeline to share on when this might improve, but I want to make sure I understand what you're running into. Out of curiosity, what kind of source material are you typically feeding in, something already fairly structured and polished, or more raw notes? And is there a specific example where you felt a lot of your input got left out that you could share?
For Interactive Video checkpoint formats - is there a way to control the transparency of the pop-up block in order to still see the video behind the pop-up?
Great question, KeithMudd! There isn't a setting to control the transparency of the checkpoint pop-up today, checkpoint customization is currently limited to what's covered in the Manage Checkpoints section of our Generating an Interactive Video article, mainly the checkpoint title and the content blocks inside it.
I get why this would matter though, if the video's showing something visual like a process or a screen recording, losing sight of it while a checkpoint covers the screen could genuinely interrupt the flow. Out of curiosity, is that the kind of video you're working with, something where staying visually connected to the action matters, or is this more of a general preference across video types?
Hey Eric, thanks for the response. Yes, the video would be of the kind that staying visually connected to the action mattered. Being able to resize the checkpoint pop-up block so that it didn't cover the entire video would be helpful for that as well (maybe even more so), but I realize that would be difficult to manage with responsive design so a transparency setting control should be easier to build in.
