I’m Eric, and I’ll be answering your questions about new content formats. I work on our Customer Happiness team supporting the E-Learning Heroes community, and I'm excited to see how you all put these new formats to use in your own courses and training.

I second this comment - the interactive video is great, but it needs to be able to be placed into other courses. Since I build multiple videos in one course, unfortunately it isn't very useful at this time.
Love all the new pieces and parts, but my question is will they ever be available together? If I want to create a course and add the new scenario options plus maybe have an activity with steps by steps using the guide option or add an interactive video, will I ever be able to add those as blocks inside of a course?
Great question, BelleHabs, and you're in good company. A few others have asked something similar!
Right now, each of these new formats (Guides, Training Decks, Interactive Video, Scenarios) is built as its own standalone piece of content rather than something you can drop in as a block inside an existing Rise course. So creating a single course that combines a Scenario, a Guide, and an Interactive Video together as blocks isn't something you can do today.
As Liam_Eagen mentioned above, this isn't available yet, but it's something the team is planning to make possible!

Quick question: How can I translate the interactive videos if I don't want to use the built-in translation feature? Is it possible to export the interactive blocks via an XLF file?
We already have the videos translated, so we would only need the interactive pop-ups and instructions to be translated.
We also use our own in-house translation tool and cannot use any third-party translation services. Therefore, we would need a way to export the translations, ideally in XLF or Word format.
Hi Dominik1, following up here.
I heard back, and XLIFF export isn't currently supported for Interactive Video or the other new formats, that manual export/import process is specific to classic Rise and Storyline courses. So at this time, there isn't a way to export just the checkpoint and pop-up text for translation outside the built-in tool.
I know that's not the answer you were hoping for given you can't use third-party translation services either. I don't have a workaround to offer right now, but this is worth us tracking internally as a need.

Thanks for the detail here, that's really helpful context.
For Interactive Video, the translation layer covers the chapters and checkpoints, in other words all the interactive text and instructions. The source video audio itself isn't touched, so that lines up well with your setup since you've already got the video translated separately.
I want to make sure I get you the right answer on the export side rather than guess, since Interactive Video is a newer format and I'm not certain the manual XLIFF export/import process works the same way it does for classic Rise courses. Let me confirm with our Localization team whether that's supported for Interactive Video specifically, and I'll follow up here once I know for sure.
Rise already has a Scenario block, what's the difference with the AI Scenario tool?
Great question, HVfb0f498d-053b! While both let you build branching, interactive conversations, they work quite differently under the hood.
Scenario (classic) is fully manual: you build every scene, dialogue exchange, and branch yourself, choosing from a library of photographic characters and backgrounds.
The new Scenario format starts from a prompt and your own source material, drafting a complete branching scenario for you, including scenes, dialogue, decision points, and feedback, which you can then edit and fine-tune. It also opens up more character options (photorealistic, illustrated, or ones you create yourself), lets you choose between a chat-style or character-photo experience, and includes built-in scoring based on how learners navigate the choices.
So think of it less as a replacement and more as a faster starting point. The new Scenario format gets you a working draft in minutes that you can then customize using many of the same building blocks you're already used to.

Love the new AI Scenario interface - WAY easier to build and see how things are connected. Is there a way to pull the new AI Scenario into a Rise course?
You need to make it clearer that these are 'paid' features. Purchasing AI Assistant doesn't give you these tools for free, they use credits every time you use them. I'm reluctant to use as a consequence.
Hey there! Thanks for the comment. These new format types are included with your Articulate subscription and do not use credits!
Credits are only consumed when content is translated, when AI Avatars are created, or when someone without an Articulate 360 AI seat creates via Frontline.
