Does the AI Insert Audio text to speech and Insert Image features use credits? If so, how many credits are used?
Great question and no, AI Audio and AI Images don't require any credits. They work the same as before.
The following features currently require credits:
- AI Avatars — generating avatar video
- Translation — multi-format/multi-language translation
- Frontline Kit generation (separate from Articulate 360 AI)

And the credits are used only in development, or are they also used as someone is actually using the learning where something was built in the training that uses the credits? I'm a little fuzzy on that. For example, if I develop an avatar, I know it will use credits to develop, but as the avatar plays in a Rise training, will it still use credits?
I'm interpreting this as when any of these are developed and working correctly:

Credits are used when a credit-consuming action completes successfully, such as generating an AI avatar video, translating content, or creating Frontline training content. Learners don't use credits when viewing or interacting with published content.
To answer your second question, any unused credits expire at the end of your subscription term. If your organization has both Frontline and Articulate 360 AI, each product has a separate credit balance; they aren’t shared.
How much do they cost.
This shouldn't be such a hard question to answer.
