Q&A: Nova — AI, & Credits
How many credits are included with the standard AI-subscription package? And how can Creators on my team view the credit balance without having to reach out to the Account Admin? Creators should be able to view the credit balance easily, so they can prioritize usage.

Thanks for reaching out! At launch, Articulate 360 AI subscriptions receive a one-time credit gift of 20,000 credits per seat, up to 100,000 credits per subscription. After you use those credits, you can purchase additional credits separately.
Right now, the credit balance and usage details are available to admins rather than individual creators. I can see how having visibility into the remaining balance would help creators' credits, and will share this with our Product team. Thanks for sharing that use case with us!
Thank you, LucianaPiazza. That's helpful. To confirm, (outside of the one-time gift), there are zero credits included with the Articulate 360 AI subscription, and all credits must be purchased separately (in addition to the annual fee). Are you able to share the price for purchasing credits?

Hi, Doug_Smith! Absolutely. As I mentioned to Mason, outside of the one-time launch gift, credits aren’t included with an Articulate 360 AI subscription. Additional credits are purchased separately.
It may also help to know that most features, including core AI capabilities and the new content formats and integrations, are included with A360 seats and don’t use credits. Credits are used for specific Nova-powered capabilities, such as AI Avatars and multi-format translation.

Contract pricing varies, but the minimum credit purchase is 50,000 credits for $250 with Articulate 360 AI and 100,000 credits for $500 with Frontline. Credits purchased for Articulate 360 AI and Frontline stay in separate balances and can’t be transferred between them.
It may also help to know that the vast majority of features, including the new content formats and integrations we launched this week, are included with your Articulate 360 AI seats. Credits are used for specific capabilities, such as AI Avatars and localization.
If you need more credits after using your launch gift, our Sales team can help you understand what makes sense based on your expected usage. We’re still building out our self-service purchasing flows, so for now, connecting with Sales is the way to purchase additional credits.

After the launch we were give our credit gift. I checked this morning and now we have zero. I checked the usage report and no one associated with our subscription has used any credits. So it's automatically limited to 20,000 per user?
Good question, BelleHabs! It's not quite a flat 20,000 per user, it's 20,000 credits per paid seat, with a cap of 100,000 credits total per subscription, as confirmed in our Articuland platform announcement. So if your organization has 5 or fewer seats, everyone's seat contributes its full 20,000 toward the total. If you have more than 5 seats, the 100,000 ceiling kicks in, so the total gift doesn't keep scaling up per seat beyond that point.
Worth knowing too, this is a one-time launch gift rather than something that repeats at each renewal or when you add new seats going forward, and it all draws from one shared pool for the whole subscription rather than individual balances per person.

Thank you for clarifying. So we're not going to get 100,000 every year. It's a one time gift, correct? We'll have to add credits as we need them moving forward. We currently have 8 seats in our org. If some folks never use Articulate, will it prevent the rest of us from using their credits?

Is there any plan to make this change? It's impractical for my team's workflow to consistently check-in with our account admin about our credit balance.
