Did you ever have any luck with this issue? I wanted to let you know that I recently changed to a new LMS (a very good one!) and we're still having the same problem with embedded quizzes.
Hopefully you found a way to deal with it. We've given up and are going to pull out all the embedded quizzes from the presentation and just make them standalone quizzes.
