Try this: Go to the Pick Many slide. In the Triggers panel, delete the six "Change state of Oval 15 to Selected" triggers (one per circle).
MadLandLady: For future reference, the built-in states come with built-in functionality. For example, an object with the Normal and Selected states will automatically toggle between those states when clicked.
