Quote carousel with no quotations?
Hi,
I love the layout and functionality of the quote carousel but don't want to use it for quotations. Is there a way to remove the quotations? Or a workaround for using some other block to approximate the same basic experience?

Here's a hack since the quotes are built in.
Put the text in the author area and leave the quote blank. You do get that little tick mark, not sure how to get rid of it.
Select the text and play around with sizing and colors to make it fill the box better.

I am coming to the conversation late, but thank you Tom, that's a neat hack. The tick mark was a bit pesky so I turned it to my advantage by converting it into a (sorta) header ...I added bold text and added a dash at the end. Worked really well for my needs.

I'm pretty sure we could add the quotations ourselves... We are grownups afterall.

We need a text only carousel. Or text AND image. I have to find an interaction that can take text only but without adding "Step" in one of them and without adding "" in the other... pretty limiting I think. And little like babysitting your subscribers. Pretty sure we're capable of adding quotations and titles ourselves IF we need them. Thanks.

One option - just remove all the text from the Quote area box, click the circled "+" button that appears and add a single-cell table. You may need to remove columns or rows. Colour it if you like, make it as big as you want, stick your text in (change its colour too!) and there you go. A box with no quote marks.

This works well! Thanks for posting the tip. :-)

But doing that, you can't really format the table to remove the stroke, right?

Life hack! Thank you!

Can I add a bump to this request - a great addition to the suite of text layouts just by making a tiny tweak and removing quotes.
A second version is just to have it a pure carousel with no image either :-) - stephenphungCommunity Member
Bumped. It is a major issue developing French courses as well. We use these « » and it is extremely frustrating to not have the option to change them. It's not inclusive to other languages.
Hi Luciana! Check out my reply to your similar question here. I hope that sparks some ideas!
