Random screen black fades

Hi,

I've created a module with approximately 100 slides/layers. None of them have a slide transition added, but sometimes, a black flicker/transition appears before slides. It's very random and I can't figure out how to change it. It's very noticeable on the Review 360 link https://360.articulate.com/review/content/7a955096-1cde-460c-8211-2e9e3d07281d/review

Click any of the pages on the left menu to see the black square appear between slides. Any help is appreciated.

  • Hello Nicole,

    Happy to help!

The black flicker that you are seeing appears to be the black loading screen fading out after a slide is loaded. It's also made more noticeable because of the white background of the slides.

I'd like to test if this behavior has always been present in all versions of Storyline 360. Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case for testing? We'll delete it when we're done!

      Hi Jose,

I have created a slide with ~10 layers. Each layer contains a short video. Whenever I  go in-between each layer (apart from the first 3-4 layers which are seamless), an all-black screen pops up and stays there for 1 second before playing the video. This ruins the immersion and desired “smooth” effect that I was aiming to create in this course. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

I have attached a copy of the slide in review 360:

Additional info: each layer has a screen recording of the “morph” transition from PowerPoint, a cue point to pause the timeline, an arrow that resumes the timeline, and a small, rounded rectangle that will in future say something along the lines of “click on the arrow to continue”.

      Any help would be useful,

      Many Thanks,

      Ahmed
