Renumbering slides in Storyline

This topic seems like it's an obvious/easy solution, but I cannot figure it out!

I'm printing my Storyline courses in Word for a manager who requested it (through the Publish button option). However, the Word version organizes the slides in numerical order of slides (so, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, etc.). However, my slides aren't necessarily in numerical order, depending on if I moved something around or duplicated a slide to repurpose (see attachment of how my slides in this course are actually numbered). So my Word document is showing the slides out of order (and therefore, not as the learner would see them).

Is there a way I can renumber the slides so that the Word versions are ordered the way they should be? I tried to right-click on the slides themselves, but can only seem to change the name, not the numbering.

Thank you!

In my experience, no, there is no simple way to renumber the slides such that Word orders them as they should be. The fix for us involved one of two methods:

One method was to print the Word file to PDF, then reorder the pages in the desired sequence. We also would add a PDF footer with the desired page numbering, though it's clearly specific to the PDF.

The second method was to manually copy and paste the sections of the course into the correct sequence. This was tedious (which is how we started using PDFs) but it does work - insofar as you want to have the reader/reviewer "see" the material in the same order that a learner does. The page numbers on the slides, though, would still be out of sequence.

    Good luck!
