Renumbering slides
Is there a way to renumber my slides?

Hi Kendra,
Are you moving the slides in order in Story view? If so, they should renumber themselves. If you are referring to moving them in the Player/Menu, then the slide numbers will remain as they are in Story View.
let me know if you need anything further.

I moved them in Story view. Some were added at a later date, but non of them renumbered themselves.

Hi Kendra,
Could you share your file here so i can take a look?

Hi Kendra,
Thanks for sharing the file. The only way to change the numbers on each slide is to move them in order in Story view when the slides are set up with default jump to next slide triggers. However, in this scene, you are branching to several slide numbers from certain slides. example - Slide 3.4 is branching to 3.20, 3.5, 3.7, and 3.18, so those will line up next to each other.
The numbers will not be able to be changed by renaming the slides, as they will stay in the order in which you created the slides in story view.
Hope this helps!

Hi Emily and Kendra,
I just read this as I've run into the same exact issue, with the branching. Probably better story boarding in the future would alleviate the need for changing slides and adding them at the end...but that's a different discussion! Is it possible for this to be fixed with a future update? It is very tedious to delete the branching triggers, just to renumber some slides.
Do I need to submit a ticket or is there enough feedback on this issue to put it up to the powers that be???? Do you have any pull Emily?
Hi Joanne! This is certainly an idea worth passing along to our team. Would you be able to add in a Feature Request on the ability to easily renumber slides?

I would suggest you submit a ticket. I'm not sure if I did or not, but it wouldn't hurt to have two.

Ok, done! I just submitted a request, let's hope for the best!
I did a lot of rearranging yesterday, on my product. This morning I added another slide at the request of the stakeholder and have to go through the above torture, all over again!
Oh no! So sorry to hear that. Good luck to you on the rest of your project, and I'm crossing my fingers for you that the stakeholder doesn't request more slides. :)

I am running into the same issue. I do have branching in mine, I didn't realize that when I imported my slides from PPT that they got all out of order! This is a mess! I am trying to move mine around as well, thought I was in story view...trying again. This is frustrating.

Michelle, I learned the hard way...I build from scratch in Storyline. I never import PPT! Good luck.
