The short answer is yes, if you want to invest the necessary resources. A better answer is that maybe a different design could be quicker and more elegant. Sliders seem to work best when you want to give the learner the option to jump to any part. Restricting choices to fewer, or just one option, may be better done using some other method of choice. If you want to attach your .story file here, you may get some good ideas.
If not, you can always create invisible (filled, but transparency set to 98%) shapes that cover portions of the slider. When the cursor moves over the shape, it loses contact with the thumb, and drops it. Then you set that shape to hidden, and the next move attempt can move one step farther to the next shape.
