Reserved Characters in Slide Title: Workaround

I tested this on my end, and this is what I am experiencing:

I'm not sure what I'm looking at here. I'm thinking it is the title next to the hamburger icon. The issue I have is with a slide title, not the course title.
The slide title should be: <<Verify>> with no spacing. If I type it this way, the slide displays as <>; removing the middle characters. If I add a space after and before the < and > like this, << Verify >>, it shows the title, but with the spaces.
Looks like I will need to create a support case.
