Reset variable to default
Is there really no way to reset a variable to default value?
I'm using a variable with a certain text as default value.
By trigger, I change the variable to another with another default value, but there is no way to change the first default value back.........
Is it really so?

Ok.
Thanks for your quick responses Phil!
Tried the states method, but I found variables are more handy for me, as we re-use a lot of phrases.
I think I just have bite into creating "placeholder variables" in that case..
Do you think it would be an idea to request a reset variable feature?
It would sure help when handling language options.....
The question is if Articulate feela the same way? :-) - PhilMayorSuper Hero
There has been a request to reset all variables, never seen one for reset individual variable.
I think the reset for individual may be more use than a global reset. Worth a try.
Phil is correct. We have a feature request for a trigger to reset all the variables in a course.
I've added this conversation to the report as well, but if you're looking for something different, feel free to share your idea and use case here with our team.

Ok!
Thank you for your response Leslie!
I've registered a feature request to reset individual variables, as there might be a point to not resetting all variables, but the ones needed.
It would certainly be of use and helpful when working with language options! Thank you, Pär.

I agree with Pär! It would be great to have a reset variable to default. Something along the lines of Set [variable] to value (default).
In our courses, we use a lot of variables to list the course and module titles. As these appear in many locations throughout the course, it has been a pain to replace them if things get updated.
There are instances where we have to change the course title to something else, just for a certain slide and would be good not to have to change it all back again. Reset to Default would be much easier.
Thanks!
