Resume *Outside* an LMS
Most of our courses are hosted in our LMS and the resume feature works well. Does the resume feature work only in the LMS environment, or can you share the sorcery necessary to employ it on a non-LMS server? I'll spare you the reasons we cannot host it in our SCORM system, but we publish this course to our desktop and do not zip it. Then we open the published folder, change the name of one of the HTML5 files to index.html, and then upload that folder to the server. The course works perfectly, but some features apparently are unavailable--variable persistence and resume among them. Can you tell me if resume can be enabled in this sort of environment?
Thank you for your valuable time.

Are you publishing to LMS? When I publish to the web, whether I place it locally, or on AWS, it asks me if I want to resume when I return.
The problem I would anticipate is that it does require the LMS to keep distinct resume information for distinct users It works fine for me, if I am the only user.

Thank you for the prompt response.
The answer is: I upload to this server so infrequently that I can't remember how we publish in SL3, so I messaged a friend to remind me. I nearly always publish to SCORM and our LMS, but this course is the outlier. I'll provide better info after she replies, and perhaps some of the crew here will be better able to advise me. Thank you again.
