Resume where learner left off if learner typed in answer in text box

I understand that your LMS published course fails to resume and track progress. Let me direct you to an article discussing suspend/resume behaviors. Most heroes that contributed to this thread discussed how an LMS might be imposing limits on suspend data which can cause courses to not resume properly.

You have to identify whether this is an LMS or Storyline issue, it is suggested that the best way to do that is testing with SCORM cloud. Here's a guide on How to Troubleshoot Your LMS with SCORM Cloud. Essentially, if your course works properly at SCORM Cloud then it is possibly an LMS issue. Here are some LMS troubleshooting steps you can try before contacting your LMS provider.

However, if the course also fails at SCORM cloud then it would be best to submit a case with Articulate support for further investigation.
