Retrieve story file from drive or zip file
 Hi folks,

My colleague left the company and did not share the story file of a project.
Do you know if we can retrieve a story file from the published course or from the articulate drive, plea...

Hi jfit! Thanks for reaching out! I know it can be tricky when a teammate leaves and you're trying to find their courses.
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to recover the original .story file from a published course or from Articulate servers because we don’t store user project files or backups. The file would need to have been saved and shared locally or through a cloud drive like OneDrive or Google Drive.
Here are a few places you might check:
- Your colleague’s computer (if it’s still accessible)
- Shared folders, cloud storage, or email attachments
- The folder where the published output was saved—sometimes the .story file is stored there too
- With your IT team to see if they have access to system or file backups
Also, if the course was published to Review 360, there’s a chance the .story file was uploaded with it. When publishing to Review 360, authors can choose to include the source file so it’s downloadable right from the course page.
I hope you're able to track it down quickly!
