Review 360 Content explore to Storyline 360

Hello!

I'm working on a huge project and must have forgotten to "save" the Storyline Content in Storyline. The content is published in Review 360. I need to make edits to this content, but I can't figure out how to reverse publishing to get it back in Storyline to make edits. Help!!!

  • Sorry, Genna! This is not possible. In the future, you can set options to autosave every x minutes if using Storyline 360.

    Best,

    Julie

  • Hi Genna,

I'm so sorry this happened to you! That is the worst! Unfortunately, there isn't a way to reverse engineer a Story file from published content. That's kind of like trying to get the ingredients back after the cake has been cooked.

Have you tried looking in your temp folder to see if there is a version of your file there? Here are the steps to get that done.

    1. Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline

    2. Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.

    3. Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.

    4. Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.

    I hope this helps!

That makes sense. Thank you! I will try that!! I found the temp file (yay!) and will have my IT department change the file extension.
