Rise - Can you copy a block between lessons?
I made several lessons in Rise, and each lesson has multiple blocks. Is it possible to copy a block from one lesson to another? I found I can duplicate blocks within a lesson, and I can duplicate entire lessons. I'm trying to copy one bock of a lesson into another existing lesson. Thanks.

I would still like to have a copy and paste feature. Any ETA?
Hello, Erika. No immediate plans for block copy and paste between lessons. Using block templates will be the way to go, here.
We'll let you know if that changes!

This was perfect, thank you! I was able able to move several blocks from one lesson to another.
Hey Rick,
It sounds like Block Templates saved the day! Thanks for the feedback, and best of luck on the final stretch of your project!

So, there I was, where many of us have been I am sure, with a near final review of content that has been reviewed before, and my SME wants 3/4 of a lesson moved to another lesson in the course. Well, krikey… But this "make and move a template" really did the job! Thanks for this.

Not bad idea, I have tried it and it did the purpose. It still a very important feature.
Since while review the course with SME and pilot users we often decide to change the location of a block and add it to a new lesson. So it is kind of a core feature
Thanks for that context, Soliman! I'll add your voice to the request.

Using Block templates worked as a workaround today. But, we'd like to raise our hands to vote for an easy way to copy a block to another lesson within the same course! :)
Thanks for your feedback! Our team has a feature request logged for this capability and I'll make sure your voice gets added to the discussion.

Just curious, when you say the team has a feature request logged... does that mean it would likely be integrated within 10 years? Because it's been 6 so far since your response, and so far this still isn't a feature.
Hi Karen!
Yes, you can absolutely move a single block to another lesson. For instance, let's say you have a Tabs block in Lesson 1 that you want to move or reuse in Lesson 2. To do that, you would use the Block Templates feature. Here's how:
- Open the first blocks lesson.
- Select the Templates category from the block library, then click New Template in the panel that appears.
- The sidebar will close and a check mark will float over each block in your lesson. Click the check mark for the block you want to include in the template you’re creating.
- After selecting the block you want to include in your template, click Save on the toolbar at the top of the page.
- Open the second blocks lesson.
- Mouse-over the location in the lesson where you want to insert a template and click the insert block icon that appears.
- When the sidebar opens, select the Templates category and click the template you want to use.
That's it! The blocks and content from the template immediately get added to your lesson.
Give those steps a try, and let me know if you need any help along the way!

Maybe I'm missing something. I know you can move a singular block (like the 3 boxes in the video above) up or down within a block using the arrow keys on the right. But what if I want to move that singular content to another Lesson altogether (not the whole block, just one item)?
Hi Karen,
It's easy to move or reuse blocks within the same course using Block Templates! Check out this video to see how it works, then hop over to this tutorial to read more about it!

How do I move a singular block from one Lesson to another Lesson (within the same Rise module)?
