Rise and adding Audio
I'm playing around in Rise and I cannot see a way to add audio. Is this not possible? Currently I'm looking at an Image and text, but I would want to add audio to almost anything. This would be highly disappointing.
Hello everyone,
I'm happy to let you know we released a new update for Rise 360!
This update includes a new feature that lets you add audio to scenario blocks so your content can be even more interactive. There's nothing to install for web apps. New features and fixes are immediately available.
Let me know if you have any questions about this update.

Hey, Roni! It's actually two continue buttons! To recreate what Alyssa did:
- Insert a continue button and label it appropriately.
- Insert an audio block.
- Insert a second continue button after the audio block. Click Edit and select Complete Block Directly Above.
This "button/audio sandwich" results in the behavior you saw in Alyssa's sample course.
Hope that helps! Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

I need to play audio files without press play button please
Hi Manuel,
Unfortunately, that’s not currently possible. However, our team has a feature request logged for this capability and I'll make sure your voice gets added to the discussion.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

The ability to ask a short answer questions is needed. I have developed several rise courses recently in which it would have been quite useful. One additional question type that should be added is a survey style question/set/block. Also, I think the character limitations in the knowledge checks and interactions, such as sorting ad matching should be increased. I'd also like to be able to add a small image into a statement block. For instance, there is a block with the "i" icon, I'd like to have something more related to caution or attention.
Thanks for sharing your needs, Jameau. We'll let folks know if we make those changes in the future!

Is there a way to force users to play audio in a process block? It seems people can just scroll through, overlooking the audio, and they are still permitted to continue past the Continue divider that I've set as a barrier (as in, the Continue divider thinks the block has been completed even if no audio has been played).

Hello, I don't believe this is possible using the Process Block or even video for Tab or Accordian blocks. However, I think it would be a good feature request ;0)
For now, I add text or a prompt that says that they need to review the audio in entirety to my blocks.
Thanks for letting us know how we can improve the Process block, Mari! We'll keep our eyes out for more momentum around this concept.

I get that making audio play automatically is not "best practice," but making audio available in ALL blocks would be so helpful! I second what so many have said in this thread. Please add me to the feature request for this.
What do we want? AUDIO!
When do we want it? NOW! (thanks!)

It’s perplexing when Articulate product managers outright ignore YEARS of posts where CUSTOMERS are telling you to add a product feature and yet their wisdom overrides these requests and the requirements go unfilled. Add freaking audio features and allow users to turn it on or off just like closed captioning. We can’t be more clear.

I agree, Jeffrey. I started reading this thread and was hopeful that after 3 years of this request I would find it was by now.
I create training for folks who have PhDs to may or may not have a high school education. I also need to reach multiple learning styles. Being able to add automatic audio to all Rise blocks.
Please add my voice to this feature request.

I am suprised at how many threads I come across that have been started 2 or 3 years ago asking for features that I am interested in and rise hasn't done anything with the suggestions. Makes me worried that if there is something that I need in Rise 360 that it will fall upon deaf ears even if multiple people have requested it.
I am interested in what has been requested in this thread.

I would like to also ask hat all blocks have audio options. I have just read through 3 years of these requests. Are you guys still updating Rise360? The staff responses are getting fewer and fewer on the topic....
Hi there, Rhoda. Thanks for adding your voice. We don't have immediate plans to add audio to additional blocks, but we are monitoring these discussions and tagging them to be updated if we release a change that will help. Here's our release history for Rise 360 so far!

After years of requests for this, Articulate is just saying "Too bad!" ? I developed a course in Rise, and just assumed we could add audio, like any other eLearning authoring tool. Now I may have just wasted my time, because Rise and it's developers couldn't be bothered to add this feature?
This really is a BASIC request, have audio automatically play. If a device doesn't support it, so be it. It should still be a feature. You would think YEARS of the same request would get through to Articulate.
