Rise Custom Blocks: Focus order and grouped objects

I've been searching for this answer but have come up short. I have a number of custom blocks in a course and many contain grouped objects. My understanding is that screen readers will automatically skip any objects that don't contain text (or alt text). I've also read that grouped elements adopt the default setting of the Parent but this was in an old conversation.

In the screenshot below I have a textbox that is currently part of Group 14. And another that is ungrouped. Can someone confirm whether or not my text that's part of the group will be read by screen readers or skipped over because of the grouping? Thanks.
