Rise Custom Labels Not Working?
Hi: I have used the custom labels in Rise before. However, it seems to have stopped working. The custom text for Start Course is set to Start but the opening page still has Start Course when previewing.

Wow. I just came here after googling "Customising labels in rise 360 not working" as I am experiencing this problem and it appears this bug goes back eight years??
I created a new label template, (named after the course I'm designing) tried to customise a default built-in scenario label 'start over' to 'click continue below'. And nothing. No change. I'll raise a ticket separately but if there is something that I've missed please feel free to update me. Thanks, Stephen

I also had an issue with custom labels not displaying what I changed it to, and submitted a ticket.

Custom labels do not appear in Edit mode.
You will only see your custom labels in Preview Mode or once the course has been published.

Yes, however, I'm not seeing them in preview mode, Review 360 or when published to web.

This just started happening to me today. I submitted a ticket.

Articulate technical support suggested a workaround, which worked for me - I duplicated the text label.

This is sad - we just purchased this app a few weeks ago... so much is missing. Sigh

FYI - I just did a preview - my custom labels did not apply. Nothing changed. Now... how do I fix that???

Sorry, this is a time waster. My team has 1000's of pages to change into online learning. If I have to keep going back and forth to ensure my buttons look right, then it will eat up a lot of my time. If it appears incorrectly in Edit mode, then it should also appear correctly (as I set it) in Edit mode. This is a quick change and doesn't take many dev hours to fix/test/release.

Hi Pamela,
We use custom label sets for all of our courses, and they work perfectly.
What exactly is not working for you?

I accidentally changed the English label set, specifically for processes from "Step" to "Check". I realized my mistake (I wasn't in my new label set) and changed the English label set back to "Step", however, my labels in the course are not reflecting the change even though the English label set is selected.
The course isn't published yet and I have viewed it in preview and still have the wrong labels showing.

Hi guys,
I have the same issue in my projects. My courses are in French. But when I change the label on the Continue button, it stays in English. :-( I have tried creating a new label set and the problem is not solved. A little help would come in handy. :-)

Hi Paul.
Continue buttons are blocks, and therefore not part of the Label set.
You need to manually translate each Continue block, just like any other text block.
Hi Chris,
Karl is spot on! When you edit text labels, the changes affect all your Rise 360 courses that use the same label set. For example, if you edit the built-in English label set, every course that uses that label set will automatically get the same changes.
We recommend creating a new label set when you need to customize text labels so you won’t accidentally change the labels in other Rise 360 courses.
Check out this article for more details on label sets in Rise 360!
