Rise Default Text Colour Pallet - Gone

Hi, I would like to ask the Articulate team, what happened to the default text colour pallet in Rise.

There used to be a grid of colours for text colour changes, now we must input the hex code if the colour we need is not one of the two theme colours.

Our organisation uses #313537 for 95% of text.
Now instead of clicking this colour which was previously in the default colour grid pallet, we now need to type in the hex code for every text block which is frustrating and increases our workflow (see screenshot below).

Unless there is another way of setting a greater array of theme colours (e.g. 5 or 6 colours) then this is another step backward Articulate.

Thanks,
Tony Thomas

I came here for the same complaint.

The original functionality should be reverted and if someone wants the hex gradient tools, have that be popup or additional dropdown.

I agree that it was a mistake to remove the colour palette blocks. I can't imagine why anybody thought that would be a good idea! But even better than the standard blocks would be the ability to save my company's brand colours (as JudyNollet has suggested), so i can easily select them without typing Hex codes.

  • KellyAuner: I'm surprised—and quite disappointed—that the product team took the time to update the color picker, yet they didn't include the option to add colors to a custom palette. Folks have been asking for that feature for years...

  • Hi TonyThomas-c64c,

    Thanks for reaching out!

We recently updated the color picker, so selecting colors from the existing swatches is no longer available. I can see how that change could disrupt your workflow, and I've shared your feedback with our product team.

We'll update this discussion when we have news to share!

Hi, KellyAuner, I understand you want to update features (and I applaud you generally), but in this case, your update has reduced the value of Rise 360. Why would you want to change a product so that the workflow of users increases rather than decreases.
      It's just crazy.
