Rise SCORM 1.2 Package Can't be Viewed on Mobile Devices & LMS Mobile App
Hi Everyone
I published a SCORM 1.2 package using Rise, but it can't be viewed on mobile devices and Absorb LMS (Absorb Learn) mobile app.
I extracted the ZIP file into a folder and double-click the index.html file in the scormcontent folder to open the course in mobile browsers, but I can only see a blank white page.
I tried both Default and Legacy Exports, but I still can't see the course on mobile devices (iOS & Android) and LMS mobile app.
Is Rise course only viewable on desktop platforms?

Thanks for bringing this up. Mobile compatibility issues with SCORM packages can be difficult to diagnose because the same course often works perfectly in a browser but behaves differently inside an LMS mobile app. A good first step is to test the package in SCORM Cloud and compare the results. If it works there, the problem is more likely related to the LMS app or its embedded WebView rather than the Rise export itself. Sharing the LMS version, mobile app version, and device details can also make it much easier to pinpoint the cause.

Does the same SCORM package work if you access it through the LMS in a normal mobile browser instead of the mobile app? That comparison might help determine whether the issue is with the Rise export or with the LMS app itself. Knowing the device model and OS version could also make troubleshooting much easier.

Thanks for the advice. I opened the LMS using a mobile browser and the course can be viewed through the LMS.
This issue only occurs with Rise courses (Storyline courses have no issues with any mobile browsers and OS versions)

robthenry and jasonmiller22 Thanks for your replies. The Rise courses just don't work on iOS 16 and an old iPhone, but they show up well on Android phones.
This problem doesn't occur with Storyline courses, so I guess Rise just has a compatibility issue with old iOS and iPhones. I'll convert the courses into Storyline, to avoid old device compatibility problems
Hi BayuPrakarsa-27,
Glad to see the community has been helping you.
Also, what you've shared is correct. While we aim to maintain compatibility with older hardware and software when possible, our official system requirements suggest using the latest version of iOS.
Apple regularly introduces changes to Safari and the underlying web technologies with each iOS release. These changes can affect how web-based content behaves, especially on older devices and operating systems. We've found that Rise playback issues like these can occur with iOS version 17 and earlier. Unfortunately, Apple's last supported version for iPhone 8 is iOS 16.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.

I confirm that Rise courses don't show up in Safari mobile browser and Absorb LMS on iOS 16.7.12 and iPhone 8. Only Storyline courses work on all platforms
