Rise video scrub bar not working?
Hi there. When I preview a course (before publishing), my video scrub bar function works. But it is not working on a different video in a published Rise course. I'm doing all of my work on Chrome.
Hi Vicki! Thanks for letting us know what's going on, and I'd like to get some more details from you:
- Did you upload these video files to your lesson, or are the videos hosted on the web and embedded in your lesson?
- If you uploaded the video files, is Allow forward seeking enabled?
- What happens when you view the course Share link?
Hi Alyssa, The forward seeking is enabled and we uploaded an .mp4 to the course. It is 32 minutes long. I don't own the course so don't know what happens when the share link is viewed but when I watch the published video, when I click on the button to scrub forward it restarts the video from the beginning.
Alyssa, I performed my own test re: share link with an uploaded video and found that I could use the button to move forward and backward, although there is no "scrubbing" in that you can't see the footage you are fast forwarding through.

If we get this figured out, I'm curious if Rise will be able to eventually provide a view of the video as you scrub (not just a way to fast forward without seeing the video).
