Rise within a Rise

Is it possible to link a Rise course WITHIN a Rise course? For an example, they can select the Rise and it would open in a new window next to the previous Rise link.

  • Hi Kelly! I'd love to hear more about your idea to link from one Rise course to another Rise course! Are both Rise courses hosted on a learning management system (LMS) for tracking purposes?

    • If both courses are hosted on a LMS, you'll want to make sure that there won't be login issues for learners if they access the second course while signed into the first course. I'd recommend testing it before sharing it with your learners!
    • If you don't need to track any course data, you can host both courses on a web server. Copy the URL to the second course, and add that hyperlink to the first course using a button block.

Let me know if that sparks some ideas for you!

So you would link to the 2nd RISE, and then in the second rise, each lesson would have a return to )(let's say) portfolio? But is there a way to get back to the correct 'lesson' or section, because I thought you can only link Rise COURSE to Rise COURSE?

So the 2nd Rise would open in a new tab, so you just say on the start of the 2nd RISE , and just have c/// lose this browser tab when you are done ///  ?

      Hi, Alison!

Happy to jump in here. If you insert the link to a Rise course within your first course, learners should be able to access that page, then exit the course window, and return to the first course.

Since this is an older post, I'd be happy to take a look at your course or provide some further clarity if needed! You can reach out here or privately in a support case.

In the meantime, you may also find this similar thread helpful!
