Hi Don!
Great question!
Why does Articulate recommend saving files locally rather than to a cloud?
- Working on a network drive or an external USB drive can cause erratic behavior due to latency. For example, it could cause file corruption or prevent you from saving changes.
- You can place a copy of your project on a network drive or a USB drive for backup purposes, but avoid reopening the file until you've moved it back to your local hard drive.
Please let me know if you have additional questions about saving files locally!

Thanks for getting back to me, Lauren,
Just to clarify, on my computer I can choose to save to my C drive and/or my One Drive. Neither are on a network and neither are using a USB. Is there any reason Articulate advises to use my C Drive rather than my One Drive?
Thanks,

Lauren, is there an Articulate document I can point to with this information? I am trying to get my employer to buy more hard drive space so I can avoid storing my Storyline files on the cloud, and am looking for evidence to support my request. Thanks.
