I don't have any updates to share as our product team prioritizes other requests. I'd like to provide them with as much real-world context as possible.
Has the lack of per-answer scoring on multiple-response questions caused you to change how you structure your assessments? Such as avoiding multiple-response questions altogether or splitting them into separate single-choice questions?
Yes, this forces us to simplify our assessments.
Currently, in a multiple-response question, a learner who selects 2 out of 3 correct answers receives the same score as a learner who also selected an incorrect answer. However, these results do not reflect the same level of understanding.
For example, if three correct options are worth 1, 2, and 3 points, the points should be cumulative. A learner selecting the 2-point and 3-point options should earn 5 points, while selecting an incorrect option should cancel all points.
For non-scored questionnaires, assigning different weights to each answer would also be valuable for self-assessment and response analysis.
Finally, when a client wants to digitize an existing questionnaire where each option has a different value, the lack of native option in Storyline requires custom workarounds. This creates additional costs that are often difficult to justify to clients.
