Scorm 2.1 file won't auto run in the LMS
Hello, I was wondering why my scorm 2.1 file won't auto launch in my LMS. There is an arrow to start the file. The LMS vendor said to check my articulate settings. they look fine to me.
you are using audio or video with audio in your course?
if yes - this play button is normal
modern browser are blocking autoplay without user click of audio and video with audio
storyline adds this button, so audio autoplay on the slide is possible

Where can I find the button to turn on audio auto play?
there is no button to turn on autoplay
that decides
- the browser (Chrome, Chromium Browser, MS Edge)
- the user in his personal settings (Firefox)
storyline works like this (as far as I know, there is no documention available):
- if there is audio/video in the first slide*, storyline tries to play a "silent" audio and checks if it's successfully
- if an internal error occurs "audio not allowed to play without user click", the play button appears at startup
- if the user click the play-button then storyline repeats the "silent" audio - now it is allowed (because its triggered by the user)
- from now on autoplay works within the course (in this user session)
* but please don't cheat to get rid of the play-button - if you put the audio in the second slide and a slide without audio as slide one with a trigger "on start timeline start jump to next slide" - it can happen that your course at the beginning has no audio at all
