Screen reader not reading alt text for states of text boxes on layer on master slide

I am having a similar issue, but I am not using any layers on my slide, just buttons that have a normal and visited state. I have gone into edit states, right-clicked accessibility and changed the alt text there and the screen reader is still not picking it up. I do have alt text changed to the name of my buttons in the focus order.

    Hi Crystal,

    Happy to help!

    You'll need to add the alternative text for each state so your preferred screen reader can read them back to your learners. 

    I tested this using NVDA 2022.4 and can confirm that adding the 'Alternate text' for the states will allow NVDA to read the states of a button. I've attached the file that I used for testing for your reference.

    Please publish the course and let me know if your screen reader picks up on the Alt text that I included for the states!
