Screen readers and different text in text states?

Hello, I know this is an older thread, but I seem to be getting the same issue. Software details:

Storyline 360 Build 3.60.26947.0

JAWS 2021

Chrome 97.0.4692.71

 

I have attached a simple test file, click the button to change the state of the text box.

    Hi Nick!

    Thanks for sharing your file with these details—I can reproduce this behavior myself, and I see we have the issue reported where a screen reader doesn't read the states. I've added this discussion to the report we're investigating, so we'll be back here to report any updates.

      Great thanks for confirming. In the meantime I have just had two different text boxes and changed them from hidden to normal, that's working in the meantime.
