Screenreader not picking up alt text

I'm have an almost identical issue, can I share my file privately with your team Lauren? I'm able to tab between images and buttons, but the alt text is not reading in NVDA, also any text fields on screen are being ignored. I'm at a loss.
Please share your file here. I have learned that sometimes it is the NVDA settings and whether or not you are using a desktop or laptop (type of keyboard).
