Self-assessment tool
Hi,
I want to create a self assessment tool for users to rate their confidence levels in a particular topic before and after they complete a module of learning.
At the start, they will rate their confidence levels, then submit/save their answers.
At the end of the module, they will complete the self assessment again. However, I want the original results to have been saved so that they can compare results from the start of the module to the end of the module. Does anyone have any suggestions, please?

Hi Kate,
you can save any initial data entries in variables and use the same variables later on in your project to do a comparision.
For getting into working with variables, I recommend reading this article: https://community.articulate.com/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-work-with-variables

This post has info and a demo file for tracking responses to custom questions/surveys:
Note: Its method is for using the responses within a course. In other words, the results aren't submitted to an LMS/LRS.
If you want the results submitted to an LMS/LRS, use multiple choice, multiple response, and/or text-entry Survey questions. You can use variables to track the responses for those types of questions, and that would allow you to display the previous answers when the user repeats the survey at the end of the module.
Note that you have to include a Survey Results slide to submit the responses to the LMS/LRS.
