Slide Triggers not show in panel

I am using Articulate 1. My Slide Triggers do not appear in the Triggers panel. All I see are the Object Triggers. Can you help please? Thanks

  • Hi Cathy,

If some triggers are missing from your trigger panel - have you tried previewing the course to see if they're still working as expected? Could you be looking at a layer vs. the base layer? Could the slide triggers be on a master slide layout that's applied?

If they seem to have disappeared completely, please check to confirm that you're working locally as described here.

      Hi there, Oscar!

This discussion is older, so let's make sure you get the most current support. A few tactics for us to try:

      • Let's go to the View tab, and then click Redock All Windows.
      • If that doesn't help, try this simple repair to see if a fresh copy gets the panel back.

Let me know how you go!

Hi Katie - I am also having the same issue - I have object triggers but no option for slide triggers. Everything is redocked but working on a new slide and adding the layers, I only have an option for the previous slide triggers [object trigger]. My session won't let me add triggers for the new slide or add any to the object trigger list. Can you give me some guidance?

  • Hi Elizabeth!

I'm happy to help! It sounds like you aren't seeing the Slide Triggers and Object Triggers heading in the Trigger Panel. The Slide Triggers heading will appear if you add a trigger based on the timeline. For example, when the Timeline Reaches, Timeline Ends, or Timeline Starts. The Object Triggers heading appears when you have triggers based on an object. For example, when the user clicks when the state of, etc.

Can you confirm that you have a trigger based on the timeline and a trigger based on an object?

I've created a quick tutorial of what this looks like on my end. You can take a look here.

Hi All - I am having this same issue. I have created a game that used both slide triggers and object triggers. I tried to create an introduction layer and now it won't allow me to add any slide triggers. Only the object triggers for the base layer are visible. I have tried everything on this page and it is not working. A solution (without losing my hours of work) would be greatly appreciated.

      Hi Kate,

Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ⭐️

I understand you're not able to add slide layers after creating a new layer. It sounds like you've already tried the suggestions in this discussion, so from here, I'd recommend connecting with one of our support engineers to help troubleshoot!
