Story.html not updating when viewed in browser on the web

I have a new project that I need to update regularly over the next year so I need to use this 'fix'. Can anyone advise me how to use Michael's solution. Do I just paste that code into the story.html file? And if I do what's the best (i.e simplest) app to do that? Does it matter where it goes? I'm a complete novice when it comes to 'adding an html tag'.
Like Raleigh I'm really disappointed to have to do this awkward solution for something so fundamental to Storyline's function. Can this be added to the wish list?
