Storyline 360 Automatic Duration Calculation WAY off. Why?
I have a .story file that is 99% .mp4 files on individual slides that automatically advance at the end of each slide's timeline. There are no interactions, layers, etc.
The automatic calculation is 90 minutes, but in actuality if you go through the course from start to finish, the duration is actually 60 minutes.
Why such a large time discrepancy?

Hi Sherri,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing with your project file. The duration in the project info window calculates the estimated duration of all of the slides' timelines in the entire project.
I want to take a look at your project file to investigate what's happening with your permission. You can share it publicly here or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.

I have a similar issue. I have a quiz (set up like a treasure hunt/capture-the-flag) that has scenarios and 60 questions. The duration is stating it can be completed in 8 minutes. You can't even click all the slides in 8 minutes. What could be causing this?
Hi CareyG521,
Happy to help.
Storyline's estimated duration calculator is just that. An estimate. Durations can vary depending on the amount of interactivity, branching scenarios, etc. That said, an eight-minute estimation for such a large course does sound strange.
Do you mind sharing your .story file so we can take a closer look? Feel free to upload a copy here in the discussion or through a support case.

Hi, StevenBenassi.
I found a way to adjust the time estimation by hand to make it more accurate. Thank you, though!
