Storyline 360: Changing the mouse cursor from the Hand to a Pointer (arrowhead)

STORYLINE 360:

1) I need to change the mouse cursor to display on a slide with the Hand cursor - I want to change it to the Pointer. I can't find an instruction on how to do this. I removed a hyperlink from an email address and I want the cursor to not show the hand cursor.

2) Some of the text boxes as showing a Hand cursor when I hover over the text box. How do I change that to show as a pointer?

Thanks!!

  • Hi Nina!

Are these items clickable, or do they have selected states? If so, a hand cursor will appear by design.

If you don't mind sharing a slide with me, I'll take a look and see if there's anything we can do to work around that function. ☺️

  • I am having a similar issue... Yes, it is a picture that has a trigger associated with it. So I get why it's showing the hand, but I don't want it to. With a hotspot I can right-click and remove that function, but I don't see anywhere to do that when it's a picture with a click-interaction.

  • Hi, Drew.

I'm not aware of a way to change the cursor on a picture with a click trigger associated with it. Depending on your scenario and design, the workaround would be to add a hotspot on top of your picture.
