Storyline 360 crashing when trying to insert a 5 GB video (Mp4)
Hello. I am trying to insert a video (mp4 format) that is about 5 GB in file size. Storyline 360 keeps crashing when trying to insert the video. I read on another forum that i should download Handbreak and re encode the video, and i did but that did not work. Is there a file size limit for videos? Is there a workaround for getting large files inserted into Storyline 360?
Thanks!
Sherri

I’m actually looking for the same answer. What is the answer? Is there a file size limit for inserted videos?
Also, I keep looking for the answer to the question “Is there a file size limit for Storyline 360 files?” but I can’t seem to find a direct answer.

I do think 2Gb for any files is a limitation on 32bit tools ( as Storyline is still not 64Bit ).
Although im not sure whether this is valid for 32bit apps as Storyline..

In my opinion video files that big shouldnot be inserted in a project anyway. It makes loading slow too. Do use Handbrake ( https://handbrake.fr/ ) to make video files smaller. It works perfectly.
Hi Tyena, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊
Yes. The maximum file size for videos in Storyline is 2 GB each.

We do not have a file size limit for your Storyline project overall, but the location of where the content is hosted and playback would be more important to consider.
