Storyline 360 e conformità EAA / WCAG 2.1 AA – gestione testo e responsive
Hello andrewaifos,
Thanks again for the detailed testing and for sharing use case and requirements.
We checked further with our engineering team and confirmed that Accessible Text must be enabled for assistive technologies and browser-based tools to interact with slide text content.
With Accessible Text enabled, our testing showed that:
- text spacing adjustments such as line height, paragraph spacing, letter spacing, and word spacing can affect slide text content in supported browser environments;
- browser zoom can enlarge Storyline content, including slide text and player content;
- some browser text-size settings and third-party customization tools may primarily affect the player interface rather than all slide text content consistently.
It may also help to clarify how WCAG Success Criterion 1.4.4 (Resize Text) is commonly applied. WCAG does not require a built-in text resizing feature or support for every browser extension or text customization tool. In many cases, support for browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality is considered sufficient for this requirement.
With Accessible Text enabled, Storyline content can be enlarged using browser zoom. At the same time, some browser text-size settings and third-party customization tools may not affect all slide text consistently, since Storyline slide content does not behave identically to fully responsive web text in every scenario.
We understand that broader support for user-controlled text customization would be helpful. We’ve shared your feedback and use case with our product team as a feature request for future consideration.
