Storyline 360 project won't publish
All of a sudden I'm getting multiple crashes when trying to publish. Getting the error that something went wrong, Storyline may not continue, what was I doing at the time of crash, etc.
I tried exiting SL and restaring. Tried creating a new project and importing the old into it. Nothing works.
Hours of work went into this and I have to demo it tomorrow.
What's going on? BTW - I installed the latest updates this afternoon. Before this I had no problems.

My whole course would have to be scrapped. Pretty urgent. Please help me.

Which version of SL are you using and what are you publishing to? Web LMS Review?
are you working from your local drive or a network drive?

Hi Diana
Can you create a small test project and try to publish. If that works I would suggest creating a new file and importing your current project in and seeing if that makes a difference.
If not, log a support ticket with Articulate and get the techs to take a look at your file.

Hi Diana,
Thanks for sharing those details, and great call to open a case! I see my teammate, Robert, has emailed you with some next steps.
Let us know if you have any questions. We can appreciate confidentiality and are happy to sign an NDA if that works for you so that you may share your file. Otherwise, keep at it with Robert to find the culprit!

Hello I am having this issue - I cannot publish any files - have tried all of the above. Is this a known issue? Will try the uninstall/repair.

Hi Tania
are you getting an error message or nothing happens?

Hi Wendy, I was getting the error pop-up to send a report to Articulate. I had to change the automatic/default publishing setting back to my C:/ drive - and will have to do this manually each time as per above comments is that the case? Weird it has worked for 6 months without changing the default. Thank you

Hi Tania
yes best practice is to work from your C:drive for editing and publishing and save/store your files externally as required...believe me it saves a lot of heartache 😳

If a new update came, Storyline is crashing everytime & they are forcing the user to take update. This should not be happen & in every 2-3 days a new update is coming, it's really irritating.
Hello Pradeepta,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know that you're running into some crashing issues.
Curious if the issue happens in any course you are working on or just this particular one?
If you cannot re-create the issue in a new course, I would advise to import the file into a new one and proceed.
With your permission, I'd like you to share your project file with our support engineers to investigate what's happening. You can share it privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.
