Storyline 360 web objects and Saba

This may be something I am doing wrong, but I need confirmation.

My web object is a single html file I have saved locally. It contains a Blend4Web 3D object. I insert the web object per usual, then publish to Scorm. Upload to LMS (Saba).

The course launches, but the web object does not display. I'm in Chrome looking at Dev tools. Error msg reads "Not allowed to load local resource". The path shows the local path (c:\) to the web object.

Now this makes sense in that I embedded the object from my local drive, and Saba, IT security, browser security, etc. is preventing the local object from being loaded.

How do I  fix this? Do I need to upload my html file web object to a server?

  • Hi Mike,

    Thanks for reaching out!

You'll need to rename single HTML file to index.htm or index.html for it to work properly. Check out this article to know more about adding and testing Web objects in Storyline 360.

For testing, you can try publishing your course to Web after making sure that you have a valid index.html file present and checking if your Blend4Web 3D object will load there. If the issue persists, reach out to our support team here for further assistance.
