Storyline crashed and I can't open .tmp file
Hi everyone,
I tried to save my storyline project and the program crashed. No worries, I thought, it will ask me if I want to recover, as it has many times. So I restarted storyline to get the prompt to save to recover, but no prompt to recover appeared.
Then I found the .tmp file in %appdata% in the windows directory and renamed it to have the extension .story. Tried to open it and getting the error "This project is invalid or corrupt and cannot be opened. It may have been created in an earlier version of storyline", which isn't possible since it is dated today, and no updates for the storyline app are available.
Then I tried importing the appdata storyline file. I got the "storyline needs to close, please tell us what you were doing. ", typed something in, then it want to the insert slides window with the wheel spinning endlessly. No indication on progress bar that it is copying anything over.
I'm tried to attach the .tmp file, which I've renamed to .story but it exceeds the max file size.
None of the above mentioned files are on a network drive or in the cloud.
I have a feeling I'm about to lose a day's work....😥
