Storyline Interaction does not work on smartphones?
I am working on a course that uses storyline interactions that I included via Review. The interaction is quite simple, basically it is just a layer that is shown when the mouse hovers over an element.
In Preview mode everything works fine, but not for the mobile formats, neither landscape nor portrait. The screen just shows a play-button, but when I click on it, nothing happens. As soon as I switch to tablet mode in Preview, everything's fine.
Now I'm a bit unsure about how to deal with this.
Is this a known problem? Is there a solution?
kind regards,
Frank

Folks viewing a course on a mobile device can't hover. That's why accessibility guidelines say that hovering should not be used to reveal information.
I suggest you change the trigger to "when user clicks."

Thanks for the quick reply, I'll try.

I edited the interaction, so that the users have to click now to make the layer visible. It worked while previewing the interaction in Storyline - unfortunately it no longer worked after including the interaction in the Rise360 - Version of the course via Review..
Hello BCH-editor,
Thanks for reaching out! I tested this on my end, and was able to successfully navigate through my sample Storyline Block in Rise 360.
- Is this happening with a specific mobile device, or do all of the mobile devices you've tried behave the same way?
- What browser are you using on your smartphone?
- You'll want to be sure you're using a supported mobile browser.
- Is this happening with any other courses you're working on, or just this one?
It would be helpful to take a closer look at your .story file, a copy of your Rise 360 course, and a screen recording of what you're experiencing. You can share these materials in this thread or privately in a support case.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
