Superscripting "®" in Course Titles and Section Headings in Rise 360
I just asked this in another thread but thought it may be noticed faster if I begin a new discussion...I work for an organization that uses superscripted registered trademark symbols in much of their content. I need to be able to superscript that symbol in course titles and section headings. I don't have a problem in the body text, but the dialogue box with the superscript option doesn't appear when I highlight text in the course title or section headings. I have tried copying and pasting and using the unicode input. I tested the unicode input tool in Word and it worked fine. I just can't get it to work in Rise. Are there any other work-arounds or any idea when Articulate may make this possible in Rise?

I just created the symbol in Word, then copied and pasted it the title for a Rise Course and it worked for me.
I'm using a Windows PC and using ALT+0174 also worked.
Hi Heidi!
I hope my response to your other post is helpful! Let us know how it turns out. 😄

HI, We have the same issue. In headers I cannot find a way to superscript the trademark. It's being rejected then in our approvals because of this. Any ideas?

I just tested this again:
I just created the symbol in Word, then copied and pasted it the title for a Rise Course and it worked for me.
This works for Course titles, Section Titles, Lesson Titles, and Paragraph headings.
Thanks, Karl! We are tracking requests for a way to make this easier in course titles and section headings. I'll let you know if we make any changes!

Hi Vivienne
I just tested using a Windows PC and using ALT+0174 for Registered and ALT+0153 for TradeMark and it worked. Are you pressing the (+) key and not just the ALT and numbers?

So @wendyfarmer, it clearly did not work for the ® here either...

If you have not used ALT codes before, you need to press and hold down the ALT key and then type the four numbers. Then let the ALT key go and the character will be displayed.

Thanks... do I have to highlight the item I need to superscript first?
Hi Vivienne. It sounds like you aren't using the standard ™ symbol, but the ◊ symbol. You can highlight that symbol in text blocks or in blocks that include text and superscript it, but there isn't a way to format it for superscripting in lesson titles, section headers or the course title, currently.

Remember to use the NUMERIC KEYPAD part of your keyboard when inputting the ALT code.

We havent been able to make it work...
Hi Georgina!
While you can insert a symbol in a Rise 360 course title, it's not possible to make it smaller or a superscript. We're tracking requests for the ability to superscript text in the title area, so I'll add your vote to the list!

Hello - Wondering if the ability to superscript text in the title area has been added yet? I can't get the ® to superscript in my course title....Thank you
Hi Kristi. Superscript in the title isn't supported right now. We've tagged this discussion to be updated if that changes.
