Tabbing in Knowledge Check

I have created a knowledge check slide that is exhibiting an interesting behavior when I am tabbing through the project. I have set the state of the "next" button to hidden when on the correct and incorrect results layers are shown, however I am still able to tab to the location where the "next" button is. Additionally, when in that location on the incorrect layer, if I press enter twice the slide advances to the next slide. It is my hope that the learner will be required to click "try again." I have attached a decontextualized file as an example. If anyone has any insight, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

  • Hi Patrick!

Thanks so much for reaching out!

To answer your first question, you need to modify the Slide Layer Properties so that it prevents the user from clicking on the other layers in the Knowledge Check Question Slide.

I found this by navigating to each slide layer within that first slide, selecting the gear shift in the bottom right corner, and selecting that checkbox 3/4 of the way down the window.

    Here is a screenshot:

I have attached an updated .story file to this thread so that you can take a look at that functionality.

In order to better understand your second question, could you please send along a screen recording sharing how you are testing this file? I'll be able to better assist with that understanding and provide a more accurate solution.

    Thanks so much!

  • Hi Luciana,

Thank you for the detailed response. I think solution solves both of my problems! I appreciate your time.
